INSIDE THE 6 LESSONS…

 

Lesson 1: You already are a storyteller. Your voice is your birthright. Gather evidence from your own life that you ARE a storyteller. Connect your vision to your voice and envision the role storytelling plays in living out your purpose.

 

Lesson 2: Your body is the channel of your voice. There's a way through every block. Surface where story and soma are experiencing friction. Practice scanning, releasing, and reintegrating trust in the body that channels everything you create.

 

Lesson 3: Your voice is your instrument of sovereignty. Trace the origins of your voice, quiet the noise of constant consumption, and begin tending to your voice as the sacred, dynamic, relational instrument it is.

 

Lesson 4: You can trust yourself, even when you can't trust your memory. Explore your memories gently and sovereignly. Learn to hold memory as tender story matter — one of the key ingredients for your most powerful narratives.

 

Lesson 5: Liberated self-expression flows from powerful meaning-making. Walk through a 3-step self-inquiry process to examine, reframe, and release the limiting narratives that block your freest expression.

 

Lesson 6: Story (re)generates community. Bring your becoming into connection with others. Practice storytelling across generations — with an elder, a peer, and a youth in your life.

I'm Dr. Joey Yung-Jun Liu — a narrative educator, curriculum designer, and sovereign storyteller. I spent 12+ years teaching in public schools and communities before bringing my work to the heart-led leaders and change-makers I serve now.

My teaching is informed by my Ph.D. research in culture and curriculum, my training in somatic practices, and my own ongoing integration of healing, decolonizing, and embodiment practices. 

I believe that when we know ourselves so deeply and unshakably, our stories become generous gifts of illumination, possibility, and encouragement for everyone we touch.
