Love Letters guides you to:
A precise location for your body of work — the intersection of your specific wisdom, your specific people, and the specific gaps only you can fill. A grounded answer to why you, why them, why now.
A named and seen ‘One’ — the specific person you’re writing to in every piece of content you create, because the more precisely you can see them and their needs, the more immediately they feel cared for by you.

So I broke the rules. I did what I always did in real life spaces - centered care. I created content as true expressions of love, hope, and wisdom for the people I cared most about receiving what I held.
And now - having successfully created virtually classrooms that fill up, replacing my institutional salary with what I earn through my online ecosystem, and witnessing the ongoing shifts catalyzed by my creations - I’m here to share with you how making your body of work a love letter to your people is probably exactly what you’ve been wanting to do for a very long time.

A 120+ page, interactive workbook that walks you through the entire love letter methodology — from locating your body of work, to identifying your people, to mapping your wisdom to their needs, to drafting and placing your love letters across your ecosystem. Hey, I'm Joey.
I'm a story teacher, curriculum designer, and educator-activist with a Ph.D. in Culture & Curriculum. For nearly two decades, I've helped people unlock their most powerful stories and share their wisdom without selling out their dignity, values, or humanity.
I started calling myself a storyteller way back in my lilpinkmushroom11@hotmail.com days. (I was 11 and really into mushrooms). What began as a survival skill in a unique childhood became a healing practice, then a teaching methodology, then a life's work. My studies in decolonization and somatic modalities anchored my practice in the body, the nervous system, and the sovereignty we're all born with.
I now teach story work to heart-led leaders, guiding them in their own process of becoming and knowing. My work centers people from the Global Majority and those shaped by systemic oppression. I share story as an ancestral practice and a tool for collective liberation.
This love letter framework came from the same place many of my best tools do — resisting that which I can’t accept and birthing what I needed first. Then refining it as I sat with my clients and community, noticing what wisdom I’d embodied felt like right-shaped keys to spring open their stickiest locks.
When I started asking my clients to write love letters instead of marketing copy, something cracked open. The paralysis dissolved and their loving voice flowed, connecting them to the exact people who were looking for them.
I want that for you too.
The new world is built with all of our hands and wisdoms (collective, caring people especially).
Your people need what you carry. And the way you reach them should feel as sacred and transformative as the gifts you share.
